Fecal transplantation was a hot topic in the news a few years ago and that inspired me to do this cartoon. Initially used as a form of bacteriotherapy, by transferring stool from a healthy donor into the gastrointestinal tract, ailments such as C. difficile colitis could be treated with some success.

Since the procedure is relatively easy and stool is so widely available, the bloggers and YouTubers embraced the technique and found ways to share their experiences with this DIY fecal transplantation to cure ailments ranging for balding to bad breath (read more at WebMD).
